June 2019

Dear Parents/Guardians,
Wow, it has been a fantastic year at C N Gunn and it is hard to believe June is upon us and our school year will be coming to an end before we know it. We want to thank everyone that is connected in one way or another to supporting the work and learning that happens here at Catherine Nichols Gunn. A special thank you to our parents who day in and day out help their children to be successful at school. The many things like getting to school on time, packing a healthy lunch to reading together all make a difference in your child’s life. The little things do matter and make a difference. Thank you!
Our Grade six students will be saying farewell to Catherine Nichols Gunn very soon as they move on to Junior High. Most of our students will attend Sir John A. Macdonald which students have had the opportunity to visit this spring. We will have a farewell celebration on Wednesday, June 26th at 10:30am. Afterwards families are invited to join the grade six class for cake and juice. The last day of school is June 27th and there is an early dismissal that day at 12:06pm. We will be having a yearend assembly at 9:00am on the 27th and all families are welcome.
Staffing is an ongoing process and we will provide a more detailed update of our staff for next year at the end of June.

I want wish you all a successful end to the school year and a fun and safe summer. If there are any questions for teachers/staff please connect with them as needed during June. We welcome any new families that have join use this spring and wish all the best to everyone else as they plan for the new school year in August.
Sincerely,
Steve Wigglesworth
Principal
