Personal Calls

We have had a number of parents phoning to request messages be passed to their children or asking that they phone home. It is sometimes very difficult to pass along messages as students are not always in the classroom. They might be in the library, gym or music. We would encourage you to make your arrangements with your children prior to school and limit phone calls to emergencies only. Thank you for your cooperation.

Student Supervision

Student supervision begins at 7:55 AM. Students should not arrive prior to that time. At the end of the day, students are expected to go home directly when they are dismissed in the afternoon. There is no formal supervision after school.

Our School Profile page includes a dynamic map with our designation area and walk zone.

Contact Information Updates

Please notify the school office immediately with any changes of address, telephone numbers (home, business and/or cell), email address or emergency contact numbers. It is critical that we have a current record of contact information on file so we can reach you or other emergency contacts. Please also be sure to provide us with a current copy of any custody agreements.

Concerns & Complaints

We know that the success of your student is dependent on a strong partnership between families and the CBE. If you have a concern, it can usually be addressed at the classroom level. Your first step is to arrange to speak privately with your child’s teacher. If you feel your issue is still unresolved, please contact your principal. If you and the school are unable to find a resolution, please see our Concerns & Complaints page for additional information, including the process to contact your Area Director.

Monday, May 29 is a system-wide non-instructional day so there are no classes for CBE students. It is also the provincial election day – don’t forget to vote! Have a safe long weekend. #WeAreCBE https://t.co/nihcInFUcL
