“Believe in yourself and all that you are. Know that there is something inside you that is greater than any obstacle”. Christian D. Larson
Winter is here and February has been known to be a very cold month. We are strongly encouraging our students on a daily basis to wear their coats, hats, mitts and boots. It is important that the students dress warmly, as they will be expected to be outside until the entry bells ring (8:05 AM and 12:38 PM). We will post signs for a “Blue Dot Day” when the temperature is below -20 with the wind chill and students may come into the school.
Report cards have been available for viewing on Tuesday, February 1 through your MyCBE / PowerSchool Account. If you do not have a PowerSchool account please go to MyCBE/PowerSchool to set up an account or contact the school for assistance. We can also print report cards upon request.
As an annual check-up on the education system, the Accountability Pillar provides an opportunity for Alberta Education and school authorities to ensure that we are equipping students for success. This is a survey for all Grade 4 parents. We will be sending out more information as we approach the survey.
Thank you to all parents/guardians that were able to attend our School Council meeting on February 1. School Council is an excellent way to find our more about what is happening at our school. School Council is an important part of your child’s educational experience as they provide enrichment activities. Without our School Council will would not be able to have Jeff Stockton our resident artist. Our School council also raises funds so all of our field trips can be provided at a reduce cost to you. Thank you School Council! Our next meeting is on March 1 at 6:30 pm.
Sincerely,
Mr. Adam Topp, Principal
Ms. Terra Freek-Meehan, Acting Assistant Principal
