“Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today,” Malcolm X. As we reflect on the month of September, our students, staff and families have shown their patience and resilience as we continue to grow as a strong community.

Remember that you can call or email anytime. You can also send a message via your child’s agenda. All the teachers will be sending weekly emails home on Friday. These emails highlight the week’s events and gives ideas for connecting school to home. We believe that clear communication builds strong partnerships.

Thank you parents and guardians who have set up clear expectations around reading each night and getting a good night sleep. Your support in this area has been noticed by many of our teachers. Thank you for working with your child in understanding all of our new safety protocols. Safety of our students is a top priority.

Fall is definitely here! All students should be bringing a warm jacket every day. Calgary weather can change suddenly. It may be +10 in the morning and -5 and snowing by the time school finishes in the afternoon. We are going to continue to have outdoor Physical Education, please make sure your child is ready to participate outside.

We will continue to share updates with you in our monthly newsletter and through weekly updates with the classroom teacher.
