Photo retakes will take place on Tuesday, October 19.  10am – 2pm.

Picture packages have arrived as well.  Please stop by the main office to pick up.


Diploma Exam Accommodation Forms for students on IPPs are required back ASAP and no later than November 1.  They need to be signed by parents/guardians and then dropped off to the Resource room in 112.  If students are declining the accommodations, please note this below the list of accommodations, a signature is still required and the form must still be returned.


Yearbook Cover Contest – Your yearbook Analecta is looking for a wraparound cover design for this year, based on the theme of ‘Reconnecting’, either in person or via social media.  Traditional or electronic media submissions are welcome. Get your art into students’ hands and money in your pocket. $200 for the winning design.


  • Approximate dimensions are 18” x 12” (landscape). 
  • Digital artists (Illustrator/InDesign/Photoshop) must produce a file in CMYK format at 300 dpi. Do not flatten/merge layers.
  • Must include the name Analecta somewhere on the front cover, may include the year ‘2021-22’
  • Finished artwork must be submitted by November 1.


Current year 2021-2022 yearbooks will be delivered in June 2022, rather than in September as in the previous two years.  In order for us to have accurate numbers for the printing, please make sure to place your yearbook order before March 31, 2022.  Any orders placed after this date cannot be guaranteed.  Yearbooks can be ordered through the PowerSchool fees portal. 


Driving -   we have had some calls from concerned neighbors about irresponsible driving by some students.  Please be reminded to practice good driving skills at all times.  Parking lot speed is 15 km/h. 


Alex Bus will be here every second Wednesday.  Next time is October 27.  Please see Ms. Day in Student services to book an appointment for your medical needs.


MyPass – please see Ms. Day in Student Services and she can help you get your account set up.  You will need this account to see your transcripts, diploma marks, and for furthering your education after high school.


Crochet club will be meeting in room 124 afterschool on Mondays.  Everyone is welcome to attend.  Any questions, please see Ms. Hajar.


Improv club will be Wednesdays at lunch in the theatre.  No experience necessary.


Smudging – smudging will be available for students who practice smudging or who are interested in learning every Monday from 8:30am to 9:00am before classes in room 239.  (The CMHS Indigenous room is next to Oasis).


Multicultural club will be meeting on Tuesday’s at lunch in room 109.  Everyone is welcome.


Speech club practice will be Tuesday after school in the Learning Commons.


Debate club practice will be Wednesday at 7:30am and Friday afterschool in the Learning Commons.


GSA meetings will be held every Thursday at lunch in room 216.
