We are so proud of the time and energy that all of our students put into the concerts last week. They are truly a fantastic group of students and it was exciting to see them perform with pride and passion.

Thank you also to families and everyone who came out to support our school and students. It felt so great to be able to come together like that once again.

We can’t wait to do more in the future!

Spring Concert Fundraiser in Support of the Earth Rangers Club

Thank you to everyone who supported the Earth Rangers club at the concerts last week. We still have some chips left and will make them available to students to purchase for $1.00/bag at the lunch hour.

If your child would like a bag of chips for their snack, please send them to school with $1.00. Exact change is appreciated.

Next meeting

Our next School Council meeting is Thursday, May 11 at 6:30pm in the Music Room. Kindergarten teachers will be presenting.

Fun Lunch – Boston Pizza is May 18.

It is also our Spirit Day. The Gr 4s survey has us hosting Game Day. For Game Day, students are welcome to bring a game or puzzle that they can play with their friends at specified times during the day. The times that this happens, will be scheduled by each teacher to accommodate the individual schedules of each class.

Casino Fundraiser

The casino fundraiser is the biggest fundraiser we do at Chaparral School. It regularly brings in more than $60,000 to support purchases to enhance student learning. It requires many volunteers over a 2-day period. Our next casino is June 24 & 25 at Deerfoot Inn & Casino. There is a variety of roles to choose from and you do not need to have a police clearance to volunteer. If you can support, please sign up at: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/ACA388085

It is imperative that we fill all of the roles for the casino to participate in this amazing fundraiser. There are still many positions to be filled!! A separate email regarding what is still needed will be shared in the near future.
