Health and Wellness Club

Our Health and Wellness Club was wondering what might be the favorite healthy vegetable or fruit snack at CJM.  So we designed a survey for students to complete, gathered the data, compiled the results and presented the results.  We asked students to choose one of the following: apples, oranges, bananas, strawberries, cucumbers or tomatoes.  Over 200 students participated and it was determined that strawberries was the most favorite healthy snack and tomatoes was the least favorite.

We look forward to introducing an indigenous game in the upcoming week.

It was Winter Walk Day on February 6.  However, it was too cold outside to go for a walk.  Winter Walk Day was a day to encourage Albertans to participate in outdoor activities.  Let's remember that it's important to be active outdoors throughout the year.  Hopefully the weather will warm up soon so we can get outside and be active.  I think the teachers and students have had enough of the many indoor Blue Dot Days we've had recently.

Did you know that there's a new Canada's Food Guide? Please see the link on this page to check it out.

Our Health and Wellness Club has Challenged students and staff to bring healthy fruits and vegetables for our snacks every Friday.  We call it Fun Fruit Friday!  It's all about being as healthy as we can and eating healthy is important for everyone.  Have a Fun Fruit Friday everyone!
