A message to our CVS community:

We know that over the past few days, a number of unprecedented measures implemented by our provincial and federal governments to reduce the spread of COVID-19 have impacted us all. Many are experiencing heightened feelings of concern and uncertainty as we wait to see what the future will bring, and hope for the speedy end to this pandemic.

At CVS the safety and security of our staff, students and families are of utmost importance to us. To that end, this week we are all doing our part to ensure that our school building and learning materials are properly cleaned and sanitized, so that this will continue to be a safe and healthy place for your students to come when classes resume. We are also practicing social distancing by allowing staff to work from home wherever possible. We thank you for your support and cooperation in this.

Staff at CVS are working with Alberta Education and the Calgary Board of Education to develop plans that will allow us to continue to serve our students and parent community after spring break. Please know that we will continue to be here for you. Shortly after we return to work on April 6th, team members will connect with you to check in and to share information about how we will provide ongoing academic and social emotional learning opportunities for your child. Please feel free to contact your child’s classroom team by email after April 6th, whether for academic support, regulation tools and strategies, access to psychological supports for students, information about community supports and resources, or to share important updates.

In the meantime, over the next two weeks, be safe and take good care.
