In recognition of National Indigenous People's Day, and in alignment with the CBE Education Plan, Children's Village School acknowledges and supports the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) Calls to Action, and makes the following commitment to action for the 2021-22 school year:
We pledge to walk the path of reconciliation together through our collective actions. We will Acknowledge the Land on which we gather, we will speak up when scared or uncomfortable, create space to express thoughts and feelings, plant seeds of truth and take on the battles and burdens of those who are weary. We will be the allies who disrupt oppressive spaces by educatin ourselves and others on the realities and histories of marginalized people.
In making our commitment, Call to Action #62 and #63 offered Inspiration.
