Parent-teacher conferences are an opportunity to engage in conversation about your child’s learning. Parents/guardians and teachers are able to connect face-to-face and communicate openly about student learning, especially with respect to areas of strength and areas of growth. They help build and sustain respectful relationships that allow both parties to share information and develop strategies to support student success.​​​

VIRTUAL Parent-Teacher Conferences for students at Chinook Park School (September 23/24, 2021)


These conferences provide you with the opportunity to meet your child/ren’s teacher, virtually, and to talk about your child. Teachers will not be in a position to give you an academic progress report at this early stage in the school year, rather, the focus is on how your child/ren has settled into the new school year and how the family can work with the school to ensure that students attain their academic and social goals.   

Important Dates:  

September 17 -   Start scheduling your conferences at 6:00 am.  

September 23  -  Online Conference Booking System closes at noon.  

                       Regular Dismissal at 2:35 pm

                       Parent Teacher Conferences (Kindergarten - Gr. 6 & EES 2:  3:15-7:00 pm)  

September 24 -   Parent Teacher Conferences (Kindergarten – Gr. 6 & EES 2:  8:00am -noon) .  No school for students.


Parents will book conference times directly online via computer.  Online booking access starts on Sept 17 at 6:00am.    To book your parent/teacher conference time: 

  • Set up a My CBE/Powerschool Account:  Go to Calgary Board of Education website, home page and select ‘My CBE/ Powerschool’.  Create an account. 
  • Go into your My CBE/Powerschool Account 
  • Select the September Chinook Park School Parent-Teacher Conference option 
  • Book your appointment time with your child’s teacher

​How to Book a School Conference

  1. Log-in to MyCBE / PowerSchool​.

    If you do not have an account, follow the Create a MyCBE Account​ instructions.

  2. Click on the My School Conferences icon.

  3. Click on the time slot that is available and convenient for you. Ensure pop-up windows are allowed.

  4. In the pop-up window, you will choose your child (you have the option to enter the student's name), the name of the parent / guardian is pre-filled, but can also be changed.​​​​

​​Create a MyCBE/PowerSchool Account

  1. Go to and click on the “Create Parent Account” link.

    Important: the email that you are using to create your account must be the same one you have provided to the school. If you are unsure, please contact the school office.

  2. Once you have created an account, you will receive a confirmation email. 

  3. After your account is confirmed, you can login to the system.​
