Hello Chris Akkerman Families,
Once again we are shifting to online learning beginning tomorrow until May 25th. While this is very disruptive for students, staff and families, it is a move that will allow the current situation to improve so that we can all return to inschool learning safely and effectively. Thank you so much for your patience, understanding and dedication during this time. Our students are so resilient and upbeat and can handle any challenges thrown their way. At this point, all students have experience and knowledge of online learning so we expect the next few weeks to run smoothly. Teachers will be contacting families on Friday to provide details around schedules and expectations. Online learning will begin after that. If you have any questions, please email the classroom teacher.
Please enjoy the beautiful Spring weather and make sure to get outside for some sun and exercise. Too much screen time can be detrimental to children and screen time will increase with online learning. Please be active!
Thank you to everyone who supported Hats on for Mental Health Day yesterday. It was great to see the kids in their casual clothes and sporting their favourite hats. Our next Spirit Day will be Twin Day on May 28. Students can dress up like twins with their friends.
Our last school council meeting of the year will be on Monday, May 31 @ 6:00 pm on Microsoft Teams. A link will be sent out prior to the meeting, but please contact Debbie Bauman at email@example.com if you would like more information.
We will be in regular communication via email with any updates and information regarding the return to in person learning. We look forward to seeing all of the students again at the end of the month.
