Hello Chris Akkerman Families,
For those who celebrated Halloween this past weekend, we hope you had a fun time. We had a great day on Friday and the costumes were amazing. Please continue to check your child's google classroom regularly for updated information.
November promises to be another busy month. An additional reminder to please ensure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather.
The students look so good in their uniforms daily. Just a reminder that students should be in their formal uniforms every Monday and special celebrations, such as Remembrance Day.
We will celebrate and honor Remembrance Day on November 10 @ 10:45 am through an online assembly. Thank you to Mrs. Fensom's Grade 5 class for puting this on. Poppies will be provided to each student.
We will be holding learning conferences again on November 25 from 3:30 - 7:30 pm and 26 from 8:30 am - 1:30 pm. They will be online and more information will be sent out closer to the date.
Thank you so much for the great turnout and participation at our last meeting. Our next meeting is Monday, November 29 @ 6:30 pm on Microsoft Teams.
We have the opportunity to participate in an Evergreen Theater Residency in April 2022. For this to happen, we will do some fundraising.
School T-Shirts - we have many Chris Akkerman t-shirts we are going to sell for $15.00 each. We will wear these on Spirit Days and to strengthen our sense of community. More information will be sent out to families regarding this.
Fun Lunch - our next Fun Lunch will be on Monday, November 22. To order, please go to www.healthyhunger.ca and make your order.
Our teachers are busy ensuring wonderful learning opportunities are happening in the classroom. We continue to focus on 'Say Something' and allowing students to find and use their voice. We appreciate all of the support you provide to us on a regular basis.
Have a great month.
