Hello Chris Akkerman Families,
Hard to believe we are headed into May. We have many exciting things happening this month. Please refer to the calendar sent home this week that outlines all important events.
We are continuing to focus on our SDP goals around guided reading, numeracy and building connections. Teachers are continung to work hard each day to focus on the essential skills to improve reading, writing and math.
School Council - our last meeting of the year will be on May 30 @ 6:30 pm on Teams. Please join this meeting for conversations around the successes of the school year. A link will be sent out prior to the meeting.
Fundraising - families can continue to drop off their bottles and cans to the office at the Monterey Park bottle depot.
Casino - our next school casino is July 20 - 21. This is an excellent fundraising opportunity and we will require many volunteers to help with this. More information and details will be coming from our school council.
