| Dear Parents and Guardians of Christine Meikle School students,
On behalf of all of the staff at Christine Meikle School, it is indeed our pleasure to welcome you to a new and exciting school year. For those of you whose children have attended our school in the past, we are so glad to have you returning. For those of you whose children are just entering Meikle we are pleased to have you as a part of our school community.
Your child’s teacher will be contacting you within the next few days to introduce themselves and begin the school year of working closely together as a home/school learning team to ensure that your child has a very successful school year at Christine Meikle School.
As part of the learning team we ask that students come to school with the materials they need to have school. If your child needs shirt protectors, communication devices, other equipment, and/or medical materials please ensure that your child has these labelled and with them on the first day of school. For those students to access Home Care, our Home Care nurses will be at school on August 30th. Please feel come by and meet with them in the morning of the 30th and drop off any materials that they will need to care for your child.
Our first School Council Meeting is scheduled to take place on September 24th from 6:00 – 7:00pm. We would to invite you to attend. School Councils are a wonderful opportunity to be involved with the school. We will be electing our new board members at this meeting.
Assistant Principal, Andrea Byrne, and I want to welcome all of you to what we hope will be your best school year yet. We look forward to meeting each and every one of you. Please do not hesitate to stop by the office or to give us a call if we can assist you in any way.
