Traffic Safety

Ensuring our students get to school safely is everyone’s responsibility. Please be mindful of crosswalks, parking rules and speed limits when you are near our schools, especially during the morning drop-off and afternoon dismissal times.

Parking & Drop-Off

  • The safety of our students at the time of drop off and pick up of students is a point of concern. Parents must pull off to the curb when dropping off or picking up students (to the curb means everywhere but the bus zone in front of the school).
  • On the south side of the school going east there is a dead end turn around which allows you to drop your child off on the school side of the road and proceed west, which appears to be the direction most vehicles wish to exit.  Students must look both ways before proceeding across the street to the school.
  • There is no amount of time or inconvenience that is worth the injury or death of a child. Blame, right or wrong, is irrelevant when a 2,000 pound vehicle and a child come in contact with each other. Please consider not only the safety of your child but everyone’s safety when driving around the school.
