Good afternoon, Colonel Irvine School Community.
We’ve had fantastic weather so far in January. It made the walk over to James Fowler yesterday for high school tours very pleasant. All of our grade 9 students participated in high school tours yesterday at either Fowler, Diefenbaker or Churchill. There is new information regarding the high school transfer process, please see below for more information.
As a school we are holding an open house for new/prospective students next Thursday, February 2nd from 6:00 – 7:30pm. This open house is for families with students who are designated to us for Grade 5 (Mandarin program) or the Grade 7 (Regular Program) in September 2023. We are a closed school, so are not accepting any out of area students for next year.
We also had our wrestling divisional meet on Monday. Thank you to our athletes for their hard work and positive attitude throughout the season. Thank you to Mr. Chang and Mr. Chan for coaching. We also appreciate both Varun Bhandari and Mirdamad Mammadov for volunteering their time with our athletes.
Report cards are available for viewing on Monday. Details on how to access are below.
Today was Mr. Ngo’s last day. We thank him for the work he has done and wish him well in his future endeavors. Ms. Jordan will be joining us on Monday.
Thank you for helping to build a strong school community. Have a great week everyone.
Ms. Ko & Ms. Dalwood
