Good evening Colonel Irvine School Community,
We hope everyone had a good spring break. This has been the first real break since Covid-19 started. It was nice being able to gather with family and friends again.
It's hard to believe that we are going into April. The next few months will be important as we finish up the year. There will be many more events in the latter part of the school year with the lifting of restrictions. We will share details as they are available.
As we are moving into the last few months of school, we'd like to ask parents to remind their child to keep their cell phones in their lockers during school hours, they may use them outside at lunch only. Students are not allowed to bring their phones to the washrooms. We don't want phones to be a distraction for students.
Tomorrow will be Day 2 for our school and the start of new options for our grades 7-9 students. We will be handing out new timetables for students in homeroom. We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow.

Ramadan – prayer space?
This year Ramadan falls between April 2 and May 2. If your student requires an accommodation to leave class for prayers, please email Ms. Dalwood at nadalwood@cbe.ab.ca so that we can plan a space for the appropriate number of students.
Lifting of COVID-19 Measures
The Daily Health Checklist remains in place and the mandatory requirements to isolate if someone has tested positive for COVID-19 have not changed.
