The Week Ahead - May 30

This week all students that were here on Thursday completed the OUR SChool survey. We are looking forward to reviewing the results of the student voice in June. We also hosted several feeder school tours for our incoming grade 7 students next year. Thanks to all students who volunteered to help with these tours. We will be hosting a few more grade 6 and grade 4 tours in the coming weeks.

Next week we are proud to be holding band concerts on Thursday. This will be our first concert in two years. Both students and staff are excited to hear the performances. Parents may use the staff parking lot that evening. Please do not use the parking lot at the strip mall. We want to be good neighbors for our community. As a reminder, Grade 5 & 6 Music students will be performing for their parents/guardians at 6pm for approximately an hour. The Grade 7-9 Band students will perform from 7:30pm-9pm.

Next Friday is our sport activity day. Please let us know if you are interested in volunteering that day. Volunteers will be helping at various activity stations that morning. Thank you for your consideration. If you are interested, please email

Have a great weekend and thank you for your continued support. Together we achieve more.

Transportation Registration Has Started

Yellow school bus registrations launched on Wednesday, May 11. You may register using your MyCBE account.

Service levels for the 2022-23 school year will remain the same and we plan to resume charging fees at the same rates as this school year (prior to the refund).

If families are considering transportation services for the next school year, they must register by the deadline to ensure yellow school bus service for the first day of classes. There is no financial obligation for registration; families have until the fall to cancel without a fee.

The registration deadline for students to be included in route planning for the first day of school is Wednesday, June 8.

Noon Hour Activity fee

We have received some questions about the $30 noon hour activity fee. For your information, it pays for these items/activity (not supervision):

School BBQ lunches – start/end of school year

Sports equipment – for use during lunchtime

Cold Treats

Swimming – in June

Benches/tables in lunchroom & gym
