Dress Code

Clothing Policy

Students are expected to wear comfortable clothing that is conducive to the learning environment at Colonel Walker School. Please avoid garments that might cause offense including those with profanity, reference to drugs/alcohol or inappropriate remarks. Students are also expected to remove hats and hoods inside classrooms, and to ensure that shirts or jackets are available to be worn over tank tops.

Parents will be contacted in the event that attire presents a significant concern in the school environment. It is intended that parents work with school in this regard.

Indoor Shoes / Fire Drills

We are proud of our school and strive to maintain an optimal indoor learning environment. For this reason, we require that students have shoes or boots for outdoor wear, as well as non-marking shoes that are appropriate for physical activity and indoor wear only. Indoor shoes must remain at the school.

Students must wear indoor shoes inside the building to protect their feet and to be ready should we need to evacuate for a fire drill.
