Principal's Message May 8

Dear Coventry Families.

Wow! What a fantastic turn out we had for our School Dance.  What a phenomenal job all the parent volunteers and School Council did in preparation for this event!  Fun was had by all and the students enjoyed spending time with families and friends. There were so many amazing costumes.  A special shout out to Amber Van Dooren, the school dance coordinator who made all of it possible and for Nikki Pike who did such a wonderful job on the Star Wars Decorations.  The volunteers spent many hours setting up to make it such a special evening and then taking down all the decorations and cleaning up afterwards.  In addition, I would like to thank the Nose Creek Leadership Students and their teacher supervisors who came to support this community event.  School Council is looking for volunteers to support our Casino Fundraising Event taking place on Thursday, May 25 and Friday, May 26 and will be sending out a message later this week. School Council is ready to plan their next school event: a June BBQ on Friday, June 2 at 1:00 p.m.  They will be sending out information very soon and will be again looking for volunteers to support this community event.

Our Volunteer Tea will be this coming Friday, May 12th from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. We are looking forward to celebrating our volunteers who support our school in so many ways. Remember to RSVP by clicking the following link: Volunteer Tea RSVP.  The deadline is Wednesday, May 10 at 3:00 p.m.   This way we can ensure we have enough snacks and seating available for everyone in our Learning Commons.  The program will start about 9:40 a.m. and teachers will be stopping by in person to share their gratitude with those parents who have supported them and their students over the year.  We hope to see many of you there.
