One way parents/guardians can make a meaningful difference for students is by participating on our school’s parent society. Parent societies are a formal group of parents, incorporated under the Societies Actfor the purpose of raising funds for the school. A society is a separate legal entity from the school council. More information can be found in our CBE Administrative Regulation 5001 – School Councils and School/Parent Societies.

Parent Society

Our Parent Society is known as CHEFS (Coventry Hills Elementary Fundraising Society).

CHEFS Purpose

CHEFS relies on the support of parents, guardians and community members to run all our
fundraising activities and special events throughout the year. These funds raised goes
towards supporting our school and children to enhance their learning.

Casino Fundraiser

CHEFS has a Casino roughly every 18 months. Our responsibility is to provide volunteers over a two day period. In return, CHEFS receives a portion of the pooled profits for the relevant quarter. Past Casino’s have been hugely beneficial to the school. The last Casino raised approximately $70,000 and these funds will be a huge benefit to our children. To all of the volunteers that took part, we applaud your time and effort, without which we cannot make these gains. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

There are many fundraising initiatives throughout the year. All fundraisers are entirely optional, and all proceeds raised go directly to the benefit of our students. Please stay tuned for opportunities to get involved throughout the year.
