Personal Belongings

Lost and Found

Articles of clothing, lunchroom boxes and student belongings found around the school or on the playground will be placed in the Lost & Found box located in the Hub (gathering space/foyer). The exceptions are valuables and money, which should be turned into the office. Parents are asked to check the Lost & Found area periodically to claim their child’s possessions.

Children are encouraged to be responsible for their own possessions. Valuable belongings not being used for learning such as iPod, iPad, MP3 players, PSPs, tablets, game systems, scooters, roller blades, skateboards, cell phones, wheelie shoes, etc. should not be brought to school. The school will not assume responsibility for such items. Students are also discouraged from bringing spending money to school. When it is necessary to bring money to school parents should remind children not to leave money unattended in backpacks or desks. All payments for special events, etc. should be given directly to homeroom teachers on entering the classroom.

Bicycle Safety

Children may ride their bikes to school, however, they are to walk their bikes across the streets and on the school grounds. Students are not allowed to use the parking lot, either walking or riding, to access the school.  Please use the sidewalks. All children should be aware of the rules for bicycle safety and wear helmets. Locks must be provided for each bike. The bike racks are out-of-bounds during school hours.
