Lunchtime

Students are encouraged to bring only healthy snacks and lunches to school, in accordance with CBE Administrative Regulation #3047. They are required to have a water bottle for snack time and sipping on throughout the day to hydrate – please do not send juice boxes, sports drinks or pop. Students must bring their own healthy lunches. Parents are able to order Fun Lunch here.

Lunch Supervision

The CBE lunch program is a user-pay service for students Grades 1 to 5. Students may be registered in the program on a full-time or drop-in basis. Please visit our Lunch Supervision page for more information.

Students are supervised by trained supervisors employed by the Calgary Board of Education. If a child will be leaving the school at noon to accompany a parent or another adult designated by the parent, we ask that office be notified in advance, preferably in writing, and that the adult pick up the child at the school. Children in the lunch program may not leave the school grounds. We are responsible for ensuring the safety of students during noon hour.

Supervision

For those children who are part of the CBE lunchroom program, paid supervision is provided by the lunchroom staff. Students not in the lunchroom program should not return to school until 11:50 AM unless they are involved in teacher-led activities.

Allergies

Additionally, we have children at our school who are allergic to nuts and related nut products, we strive to be a Nut-Free School. Parents must indicate any special health concerns on the school registration for their child and are encouraged to ensure classroom teachers are also aware of health issues. For more information about this and other health concerns visit our Illness & Medical page.
