Semester II Start-Up Information Update

As our Final Assessment period for Semester I comes to a close, we would like to thank you for your on-going support and encouragement in getting your child(ren) to utilize this time to access FLEX opportunities to extend learning and increase student success and course completion.  We were so encouraged by the numerous students who took responsibility for their learning by accessing the support to reach their academic goals.

We now begin to shift our attention to second semester.  Semester II classes will begin on Monday, February 3rd, 2020.  All students will be asked to attend their PRIDE homeroom from 8:55 – 9:30. Periods 1, 2, 3, 4 will follow.

In PRIDE, students will be exploring their important role as positive digital citizens in our school community. The purpose of this learning is to continue to build a welcoming, caring, respectful and safe school. In particular, we will be discussing respect for self and others when using social media.  Below are some resources for parents and guardians to continue this conversation at home and we encourage you to discuss these questions as a family.

In addition, students will be given a demographic information sheet to take home to be updated and returned and some students may be given their Individual Program Plan (IPP).
