It is important that the school has a complete list of all emergency contacts and authorized guardians for your child. Please contact our office to make changes or to ensure we have your most current contact information.

Medical Conditions

Please inform the school if your child has any medical condition and/or requires medications while at school. If a child needs any prescriptions dispensed at school there must be a doctor’s signed Student Health Plan form on file at the school. You can pick up this form at the school office or on the CBE Forms You Need page.

School Nurse

The focus of our community health nurse is immunization, audio and vision screening. Other duties include counselling on request and teaching programs.

Our school nurse can be contacted at the Calgary Health Region, South District Office, phone 403-943-9100, or through Deer Run School.

Allergies

Deer Run School is endeavouring to be a peanut aware school. We ask that no peanuts or peanut butter be brought into the school or on field trips. Teachers will make you aware of specific food allergies in your child’s class if you are supplying any snacks or treats.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Alex Dental Bus

The Alex brings their 40 foot mobile dental bus onto the school compound to provide dental checkups and teeth cleaning for students. They also work with us to ensure that any further dental care can be arranged as required.
