Douglas Harkness is averaging an 8% to 10% illness rate for daily absences. You can learn more about CBE school illness rates at Daily Illness Counts Please continue to keep your child home if they are not feeling well. Thank you parents and guardians for continuing to follow the AHS daily checklist to identify whether or not to send your child to school or keep them home. FAMILIES MUST CALL THE SCHOOL EACH DAY THAT THEY CHILD IS ABSENT! Now, more than ever, it is important that anyone feeling unwell must stay at home. Parents must use Please call or email our office to let us know EACH DAY your child will be away.

Douglas Harkness Olympics: Each day next week, from Feb. 7th-11th, students are invited to dress as the colours of the Olympic RINGS. 

Monday Feb. 7th WEAR BLACK

Tuesday Feb. 8th WEAR YELLOW

Wednesday Feb. 9th WEAR GREEN

Thursday Feb. 10th WEAR BLUE

Friday Feb. 11th WEAR RED

During the Olympics, classes will be engaging in two weeks of Olympic activities and challenges. Watch the Twitter hashtag #dhsOlympics and #gomackenzie for fun photos from the classrooms while we cheer on athletes from around the world. 

Report Cards: These are now available for viewing online in Power School. Please take the time to read and understand your child’s report card. If you need assistance setting up your child’s Power School account so you can view the report card, please contact the office.
