Good afternoon Lancer families.
On Thursday evening and Friday morning we hosted Semester 2 parent teacher conferences. We were pleased to have the opportunity to meet you in person again after a long period of virtual sessions.
While parent teacher conferences can be a learning experience for parents, they can also benefit the student. Please take time to talk with your child about the conference and let them know what was discussed. Stress the positive things the teacher said about them and their work. It is also beneficial to discuss how you and their teacher are going to help with the areas that improvement is needed. Our goal is to have the student feel supported in their journey for success. And as always if you have any questions or concerns regarding your child please reach out to us.
Thank you to the parents/guardians who attended the School Planning Engagement session at our February School Council meeting. Feedback from families helps inform decisions related to school planning, which includes the school development plan, school budget and school fees. Feedback will be considered along with fiscal realities, student learning results and other relevant data.
If you would value giving input on our School Development Plan or School Fees, or would just like to know more, please go to the our school website. The survey will be live until March 31.
On Thursday, March 16th we are pleased to hold our Graduation Assembly at 9:00 am in the Main Gym. Updates will be shared with Grade 12 students about the Graduation Ceremony and Banquet, both taking place on Tuesday, May 23rd at the BMO Center.
We are happy to welcome back Mr. Andre Marquis who will be serving as Acting Assistant Principal for those students with surnames H-O. Mr. Marquis will be in that role until Spring Break.
As always, we appreciate your partnership and support.
