| I hope this message finds you well. I want to take this opportunity to wish you and your family a happy thanksgiving and to share my gratitude and appreciation for all of your support through our school start up this year.
Even in these unusual and unprecedented times I find there are things to be grateful for. I know I am truly grateful that all of our students and staff that were quarantined last week due to being in close contact with a student that tested positive for COVID-19, have remained COVID free and able to return back to school on Tuesday. We missed you and look forward to seeing you back!
I am also grateful for the hard work and support of our students and staff in being extra vigilant and attentive to the Alberta Health Services (AHS) guidelines that keep themselves and others in our school safe. It is so wonderful to have our school community back in the building and working together. Your efforts continue to make this possible.
Thank you parents and guardians for your on-going support and for working with your students around safety protocols when students are out and about at lunch times, after school and weekends. It has often been said, “it takes a village to raise a child”.
We have such a wonderful community that I feel very thankful to be a part of. On behalf of all the staff of Dr. E. P. Scarlet High School we wish you a safe and joyous Thanksgiving.
