About Us

Dr. George Stanley School has chosen the historic Crystal Palace as a strong symbol for the learning environment we are creating. The Crystal Palace was built in 1851 in London to house the world’s first fair to recognize the joining of industry and art and inspired the creation of the groundbreaking Eiffel Tower in Paris.

Our inclusive learning environment encourages a diversity of students to learn in the company of peers. Our structure allows students to have a homeroom teacher that delivers much of the curricular content, providing students with a strong relationship with our staff. Our approach to Career and Technology Foundations (CTF) allows for students to explore new skills and career paths while making real-world connections to their core academic classes.

Our school teams will be known as the Dr. George Stanley 67s. The 67s signifies the combination of an Elementary and Jr. High school to create a middle school, it commemorates Canada’s year of birth (1867) and our centennial year (1967) in which Dr. Stanley played an instrumental role by re-branding our national flag using the iconic maple leaf.
