Wednesday Principal Update - May 31, 2023

Dear Families,

We want to start by congratulating our Senior Girls and Senior Boys Basketball Teams, who walked away as Division Champions on Thursday May 25. Our Junior Boys and Girls came up just short of making finals and had strong finishes during semi-finals on Tuesday and Wednesday of last week. We are looking forward to a strong finish to the interschool athletics season when we compete in next week’s track meet.

We want to thank our parents and families for supporting us in keeping our bus zone safe for students. The month of June will see us working with our students to promote safe behaviour in the crosswalks around our building.

Thursday evening marks the performance of High School Musical Jr, which has been a labour of love for students and teachers over the last few months. All told, students will have four opportunities to perform- once for our incoming Grade 6 students, once for parents and community members and twice for our student population. Doors open at 6:30pm on Thursday June 1. Tickets are $5 each (cash only, no advance sales) at the door that night. Concession stand sales will also be cash only, so bring your toonies and loonies!
