Support for Students at the CBE

Our students’ success is our top priority and we understand that our students live complex lives and that many factors both in the school and outside of school can affect their ability to learn. The CBE offers a variety of services (such as Culture and Linguistic Support, Exceptional and Special Needs, and Psychological Services) to support students, their families and our school, so students can be successful learners. Visit the CBE website to learn more.

How Can We Help?

In school we have a "How Can We Help" box. In this box students can submit forms for:

  • I need help
  • I have an idea
  • I have a concern

We will look at these weekly and do our best to address each submission. Names are not required, but it is helpful when we are trying to solve a problem. Please be respectful when making a submission. How Can We Help

  • Safe place for students to come when they are facing challenges, academic, emotional or whatever they would like to talk about.
  • Supports for our exceptional learners or students on Individual Program Plans (IPPs).
  • Working with students to help them with coping strategies when they are anxious.
  • Support groups for students that have similar needs.
  • Working with our English Language Learners.
  • Liaising between school and outside communities.
  • Supporting teachers to differentiate curriculum.
  • Meeting with parents around any concerns they have in regard to their children.
