Dear DRBS families,
Seems like we never left!
Thank you to all of you who came out to see your children start school yesterday. We had an amazing start up. This morning we had our first assembly since I have been here. It feels so great to be back to business as usual.
Just a few reminders:
Parking – please use the Hug and Go or park in the community and walk so and to keep our bus loop clear and all students safe.
Dogs on the playground – When coming to drop off or pick up your children if you bring your dog keep them on a leash and well away from the playground structure and other children, We have some students who are allergic and others who are fearful. Also be sure to pick up after them.
Snacks, Lunch and a Good night's sleep – students need lots of energy throughout the day. September is a hard month as students go through a lot of adjustments returning from the more relaxed schedule of summer. Please help your child have the best day by getting lots of rest and bringing healthy food choices with them for the day. Remember: we are packing out all of the waste we bring into the school so students will be taking home all the garbage and recycling from their snacks and lunches.
Dress for the weather – you know what they say in Calgary – if you don't like the weather wait 15 minutes! Please be sure your child has appropriate clothing as the day can change and we go outside daily.
New Volunteers – If you are in need of a security clearance please come to the office starting Tuesday September 6, 2022 and the office staff will help you.
