Attendance

Attendance Line: 403-777-6340 ext. 1.

If your child will be late or absent call our attendance line and leave a message. Including the reason for the absence and the length of time the child will be away. The absence line is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Do not leave a message on the teacher’s voicemail. If your child is absent and there is no message on our absence line our office staff will contact families at the numbers provided by parents using SchoolMessenger.

We know that students are most successful at school when they attend regularly and on-time. These are two important work habits to develop early and to sustain through out both school and in the work environment.

Parents are asked to ensure that children arrive at school on time so that they enter with their classmates through the assigned doors, begin the day calmly and respect the learning of their classmates.

When the weather is cold, leave a few minutes earlier to allow for more traffic and slower conditions.

All students who are late for class are required to use the front doors and report to the office for a late slip, including due to scheduled appointments.

Absent Due to Illness

When your children are ill, please keep them home until they have recuperated so that illness does not spread.

Attendance Expectations at the CBE

We believe there is a strong correlation between attendance and effective education. The CBE Administrative Regulation 6020 - Attendance of Students regulation applies to all of our students, and outlines the responsibilities for students, parents and school staff.
