Welcome to 2023!

Welcome to 2023! I would like to extend best wishes to all for a happy and healthy new year. It has been wonderful to see all of the students and staff back at Emily Follensbee after a long, well deserved break. We are back in routine and classrooms are engaged with lots of learning activities to kick off the new year!

We will be hosting our Student Learning Conferences on Friday, February 3 and teachers are looking forward to meeting with families. We encourage Parents/Guardians to attend as it is a wonderful time to share your student's successes and goals. Behind the scenes our staff have been planning their professional development goals for upcoming ATA & SA Conventions on February 16 & 17. Families will get to enjoy an extra-long weekend as we add on the Alberta Family Day holiday. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and allow for milder temperatures.

As we continue to build our school community this year, I wish to encourage Parents/Guardians to attend our monthly School Council & EFS Children's Society Meetings. We have enjoyed many presentations by our teachers and your participation plays an integral role in supporting our students' success.

With 2022 behind us, we want to wish our EFS community all the very best for the new year ahead of us. We are looking forward to seeing what new and exciting learning adventures our students will have.

Regards,

Jennifer Hart, Principal
