Student Showcase

Halloween 2022

Our students and staff enjoyed a spook-tacular day to celebrate Halloween 2022! Everyone enjoyed dressing up and participating in sensory activities, touring our gym set up with Halloween decorations and, of course, trick or treating. It was a day of fun at Emily Follensbee School!

Our Commitment

In recognition of National Indigenous Peoples Day, and in alignment with the CBE Education Plan, Emily Follensbee School acknowledges and supports the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC) Calls to Action, and makes the following commitment to action for the 2021-2022 school year:

In an effort to create a physical commitment to truth and reconciliation, our school is creating a Heartgarden to honour those Indigenous children and families whose lives were, and continue to be, impacted by residential schools. In making our commitment, Call to Action #63, offered inspiration.

Our students and staff painted rocks that border a heart-shaped garden located in our Cliffside outdoor learning area. This garden will eventually be filled with plants indigenous to Alberta and used by the First Nations.
