Fees

The CBE 2020-21 operating budget was approved by the Board of Trustees in June and the CBE Fee Schedule was approved by the Minister of Education in August.

Fees will be charged to your MyCBE / PowerSchool account beginning in September.

Annual system fees are set each year when the operating budget is passed by the Board of Trustees. To keep fees as low as possible, the CBE is committed to being as efficient as possible in the provision of services. Costs of providing the services include direct labour and supplies, as well as the cost of fee waivers and uncollectible accounts.

It is important to know that we have a waiver process for families who cannot afford to pay the fees.


2020-21

Music Therapy Fee

Emily Follensbee School charges an annual activity fee of $80 per student for music therapy. This fee covers partial costs associated with contracting music therapy on a weekly basis for each classroom. Music therapy provides an active, live music experience focusing on a wide range of developmental goals for children with varying needs. This type of therapy promotes the use of music to address non-musical goals including gross motor and verbal skills, as well as promoting mental, physical and emotional wellness of students.

School fees can be paid online through your MyCBE / PowerSchool account or directly to Emily Follensbee School via cheque. Payment for this activity fee remains the responsibility of the family. However, if you have financial concerns please contact the school’s main office at 403-777-6980 for assistance.

School-based and course specific fees may be charged by our school. A complete list of fees is provided to parents / guardians in your annual fee agreement.

There are no fees at our school for the following:

  • Noon Supervision
  • Busing / Transportation
