January 2021
Happy New Year! We ended the year listening to and singing "Must Be Santa", "Jingle Bells", and "Dominick the Donkey". The story that the students chose most often was The Christmas Star. The children loved it when our stuffed Santa would dance and host circle time. The most popular toy was our singing snowman, Snowy. It was great to get back into the pool.
Now, we will still enjoy winter by getting outside as often as we can, so wear your boots and bring your snow pants. Circle times will focus on some basic learning concepts and will include some nursey rhymes. Let's keep growing, exploring, and having fun!

September 2020
It's been a great start! The students have been enjoying escaping our space each day to go into the community and visit its' playgrounds and attractions. They have collected raspberries, apples,
flowers, sticks, rocks, pinecones and even pears. Some liked using these materials to create art. In circle times, the children frequently requested the songs "The Wheels on the Bus", "If You're Happy and You Know It" and "ABC". The books that they chose the most were "123 Count with Elmo", "The Five Senses", and "Ten Apples Up On Top!" We've been talking a lot about our bodies, our feelings, and concepts like directions, positions, size, and textures. The students always give us a reason to smile and to celebrate each day. Let's head into autumn feeling optimistic, filled with gratitude, and with a growth mindset as we all learn together!
