Sign-In

Parents, visitors and volunteers coming in to the school for any reason must sign-in at the office.Our school doors are locked at all times. This is to ensure the safety and security of our students. 

Volunteer Security Clearance

In order to ensure the safety of our students, all volunteers with the CBE are required to complete a Volunteer Registration and Security Clearance form. View the volunteer page for more information on Volunteering and Security Clearance.

Safety Drills

Each year we practice six fire drills. The students are taught to exit the school in a safe, silent, and serious manner.

​Lockdowns

All CBE schools are required to practice lockdowns in the same way that we practice fire drills. The procedures for lockdowns are developed with the Calgary Police Service and are part of each school’s Emergency Response Plan. If you have questions about lockdown drills or lockdown procedures, please contact your principal.
 

Evacuation Procedures

In the event that the school needs to be evacuated for any reason, all staff have been trained according to CBE standards. All schools have a primary and a secondary evacuation site. In the event of an evacuation, you will receive an email, phone or SMS notification from the school.​​
