Music

Our music program at Erin Woods is designed to provide students with a variety of musical literacies. From Grade one to Grade 5, students will learn multiple concepts in music; from keeping a steady beat to the ability to actively listen to music. Students will learn music through song, dance, movement, and instruments. They will gain confidence in performing as a class and individually, creating rhythms and songs and improvising with music to body movement. A hands-on approach will be given to learning music theory with instruments including the drums, xylophones, ukuleles and recorders. All students will learn music appreciation and its importance in our day-to-day lives and culturally around the world.
