We are excited to welcome students to school on September 1st. We hope that you all had a restful summer and that students are ready to get back to learning and growing. Below you will find meeting locations for each grade on the first day of school. Prior to school start up, you will find out which homeroom your student is in. Please forward any concerns about your child's class placement to me directly at ljscullion@cbe.ab.ca. Students are asked to meet in the following locations on September 1st at 8:10 am:
grade 6 - tarmac at the back of the school (on the stage if weather is not conducive to meeting outside)
grade 7 - in the gym
grade 8/9 - will report directly to their homeroom classes
School hours are 8:10 am - 2:40 pm starting September 1st.
This year we have a new cellphone policy called "Away for the Day". Students will not be permitted cellphones in the classroom, hallways, washrooms etc. at anytime during the school day. During the lunch hour students are welcome to use cellphones off campus but not in the building or on school property. We are excited about this change and the positive impact it will have on student learning and social interactions.
Supply lists will be forthcoming from teachers. At this point each student will need a binder with lined paper and something to write with. More specific items may be requested by the teacher but is subject specific.
The office will be officially open on Monday, August 29th at 8:00 am. If you need anything please don't hesitate to reach out to us.
For all busing inquiries, please go to the registration fees and transportation tab above on our main tool bar and go "Getting to school" section. We do not have any yellow busing service to F.E. Osborne School, only Calgary Transit, and you do not register for busing. City transit bus passes can be purchased at your local grocery or convenient store.
