Students in the Calgary Board of Education travel to school in a variety of ways, including walking, taking yellow buses or Calgary Transit or being driven by parents/guardians. Their safety is important, no matter how they get to school and home again.

Getting to School

Dismissal of Students After School

There is NO supervision after school with the exception after school clubs. Parents/guardians are responsible for their child(ren) once their child(ren) have been dismissed from school every day. The following measures are in place at Falconridge School:

  • Kindergarten to Grade 2 students should be picked up (hand to hand, from teacher to parent) by their parents or authorized persons at 3:10 PM. Please ensure your child’s homeroom teacher knows who will be picking up your child. Parents / guardians or the authorized persons are expected to be on time to pick up their children.
  • Children in Grades 3 to 6 are dismissed after the bell rings at 3:10 PM and are then under the supervision of their parents. Supervision of students is not provided after school unless students are involved in an after school club.
