Dear Glenbrook School Community Families,

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and share my excitement about my appointment as the new principal at Glenbrook School. Glenbrook School is a school that cares about your child and works to provide an atmosphere conducive to learning. I feel fortunate to be joining a school culture focused on student learning, a commitment to high expectations, and collaboration. It is my intent to continue to carry out these important traditions and practices.

I would like to share some information about my educational background and professional experience. I am from a small town in Saskatchewan and this is where I began my career as a Kindergarten teacher and eventually moved to Calgary.

Most recently, I held the position of Principal at Roland Michener School in Marlborough Park, a Kindergarten to Grade 5 School in Area 3. I have worked in Area 3 on two different occasions; first as a Learning Leader at Penbrooke Meadows School, and next as an Assistant Principal at Crossing Park School. I have a strong background in literacy, and I was a Learning and Literacy teacher while I was in a Learning Leader position at Arbour Lake Middle School. Following that, I was the Principal at Robert Warren School, a Spanish Bilingual Middle School in Area 6. I have a varied background of experiences and my passion is working with high equity schools so that I am able to advocate for the supports that the students require in order to have success.

I look forward to being a part of a warm and caring school environment and working together with each of you in the coming years. If you have questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me once I transition to the school at the end of August.
