Dear Glendale Families,
We hope that everyone is well! The first 2 weeks have flown by, and we are busily preparing learning opportunities for all students at Glendale. We continue to be so proud of the way all of our students have responded to the current context in which we find ourselves in schools, in relation to COVID-19. Our learning community is strong and resilient, as is our greater Glendale Family-- this is reflected in your children daily.
We want to remind families that there is no school tomorrow, September 18, as teachers are taking part in professional learning, and grounding themselves in the work for the year. There is also no school next Thursday afternoon, September 24, or all day Friday, September 25, as those are designated conference and professional learning days.
We have plans for the Terry Fox run coming up soon. There will be more information to follow in the days ahead.
Conferences
As you know, our in-person conferences cannot happen this year. However, it is deeply important to us to come to know each of you and your children. This will enable us all to support the learning and open communication between all stakeholders in our building. Teachers will be phoning you in the week ahead to discuss your child, goals you may have for your child's learning, and any other pertinent information that you would like to share that might allow us to know your child better.
As always, if you have any questions or concerns, our office is open, as is our phone line and email. Take care and talk to everyone very soon,
Kristin and Dan
