You may wonder what the CBE criteria are for going online.  The criteria take into account the following areas: Staff absenteeism, unfilled positions, student absenteeism due to illness and student absenteeism due to others.  We and CBE closely monitor the needs of the whole school, supporting stability whether in person or online and managing resources.  As we have had some staff absences, please know that we do have substitutes taking their days.  These days can range from 5 to 10 working days based on AHS recommendations. I will update you when there are prolonged days when the teacher is away. Once again, we thank all of our Glenmeadows staff for their hard work, dedication and for going above and beyond, despite their own personal circumstances. Our staff members are our students' and our heroes.

Use of student cell phones at school.  We remind parents that communication for students while at school should occur through the main office.  Cell phones are permitted for educational purposes only under teacher and parent consent.  We understand that some parents have provided cell phones to their children; however, cell phone use while at school is prohibited for the following reasons:

  1. We are unable to monitor whom children are texting or calling.  This can be a huge security risk for your child.
  2. We cannot monitor personal use of internet content, music selection, and/or video viewing, searching, and sharing.
  3. The school is not liable or responsible for the loss of any device.

Should your child have a cellphone with them, they must be kept in their backpacks and in silent mode, failure to do so may result in the student being asked to take the device to the office to either be picked up after school by the student or by an adult. Taking pictures and videos with any device is strictly prohibited on school premises.

We thank you for supporting teaching and learning at your school, Escuela Glenmeadows.  Camino a la Excelencia/Pathway to Excellence.
