Call for Volunteers

Parents and Guardians,

I am writing to on behalf of our School Council.  They are preparing for the school's largest fundraiser and need your help.

Like many school, sports and fine arts organizations our school council has agreed to provide volunteers to fill various unpaid jobs at a local casino.  These jobs are completed by volunteers and require no previous experience or knowledge about casinos.  All volunteers are given training, guidance and direction from helpful and friendly advisors.

Our School Council has agreed to provide 38 volunteers on Sunday March 20 and Monday March 21 for a variety of shifts.   The Casino is at Pure Casino Calgary (1420 Meridian Rd NE – SE of Barlow Trail and 16 Avenue NE) and shifts are both during the day and evening (details are available on SignUp Genius).

This fundraiser provides support for many learning opportunities, performances, presentations and extension materials and resources that enrich the school's learning opportunities for students.

To sign up for a shift please go to SignUp Genius: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090b44ada923a5f49-pure. You can easily see the available shifts.  We need all of these spaces to be filled by parents, guardians, friends and relatives.  If you are not able, perhaps a family member or friend would be willing to take a shift.

We are appealing to you now because it is extremely important and the Casino is approaching quickly.

This is your opportunity to support our school and provide resources for students.  A shift of a few hours means thousands of dollars of funding for the extras that can make school so much more interesting and engaging.

Please feel free to call the school if you have questions or we can put you in touch with members of our School Council (403 777-6740).

SignUp Genius is easy to use: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090b44ada923a5f49-pure

Thank you and we look forward to seeing you.
