| As you probably know by now, the principal of Harold Panabaker, Shelly Li, has taken a short leave and I will be her replacement during this absence. I thought I would tell you a little about myself. I worked for the CBE for 40 years before I retired with a diverse and extensive background-I have been an elementary teacher, physical education specialist, resource teacher, principal of both elementary and middle/jr schools, system principal of planning and transportation and taught at the university level. My schools include 11 sites ranging throughout the city in both high and low economic areas, high ESL populations and a variety of special needs programs such as PLP, L&L, ACCESS and TASC.
I believe students come first and as educators we must do everything we can to help students teach their full potential and develop a love of lifelong learning. I will continue the excellent leadership that Mrs. Li has demonstrated and continue with the direction of the school. I Iook forward to meeting you and working together to enhance the learning community of Harold Panabaker.
