Happy Friday HMS Families! We had another great week at HMS, despite the cold weather. Even with the snow and cold our students took recess and lunch breaks outside and some of our classes even went on community walks in the snow. Thank you for ensuring your child is prepared. I want to remind parents that we are here to help. If you are in need of any winter clothing for your family, please reply to this email or give the school a call and we will help you out.COVID-19 Safety: Thank you for your continued vigilance around keeping your children at home when they are ill. You can find the most recent guidance from CBE and AHS at the following links:CBE: If a student is sickAHS: How Long to Stay Home from SchoolWe have noticed some fatigue setting in for a few students around maintaining a safe distance from others and wearing a mask that covers the nose and mouth when that isn't possible. Thank you for reinforcing this guidance with your child as it makes it so much easier at school when everyone is doing what they can! Our classes take regular mask breaks throughout the day and students are encouraged to talk to their teacher if they feel they need additional mask breaks as well. Even though we are all getting a little tired, with cases on the rise in the community, it is really important that we continue to all do our part. Again, thank you for your support.Photo Retakes: A reminder to parents to let Mrs. Borrelli in the office know if you would like your child to have a retake photo.
