Phone In For Safety

Parents are reminded to phone our attendance line above to notify the school if your child is going to be absent or late on any given day. If your child’s absence is unaccounted for, the school will attempt to call you to determine the whereabouts of your child. The phone-in system is a precautionary measure that tries to ensure that each child arrives safely at school. It will only work effectively if parents remember to phone in their child’s absences and lates.

Students Leaving for Appointments

If you are picking up your child for an appointment during school hours, please come into the office and sign your child out. Please avoid picking up your child within ten minutes of dismissal as the classroom is very busy with all children getting ready to go home. If your child is arriving late, they must come to the office for a late slip before proceeding to class.

Extended Absences

If you are planning vacations or extended absences at times other than regularly scheduled school holidays, we would ask that you contact the office and notify the classroom teacher well in advance. Homework from the teacher will not be provided during an extended absence. Parents are encouraged to have their child complete a journal or travel log and do real-life math exercises related to their time away and of course read every day.
