NEW | Staggered Entry

Greeting Parents/Guardians and Students,

We hope that everyone has had a relaxing summer and we are looking forward to welcoming our students back next week! We thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to plan for a safe re-entry to Henry Wise Wood High School. Please view the following updates and also be aware that we will send a follow-up email tomorrow.

Staggered Entry:

  • Please note, we have revisited our school opening plan and have managed to create a staggered entry. We feel this will ease students in their transition back to school. Please review the emailed document with your child.

Welcome Phone Calls:

  • Also, homeroom teachers (by grade) will be calling their homeroom students next Monday and Tuesday to welcome them,to answer their questions and to discuss any concerns. To ensure our contact information is accurate, please have your child login to D2L (brightspace) –Homeroom 2020 2021 between Friday evening and Sunday evening to complete the questionnaire.  If your child has never used D2L, please click the following link for further instructions.

Re-entry Plan

  • Our detailed re-entry plan will be sent out Friday August 28. Please take time to review this document with your child. The safety and well-being of our staff and students is critical.

It is important that members of our learning community work together to support the health and safety of it's members and to remember,  learning is our central purpose!

See you soon!

Michelle Howell

Principal, Henry Wise Wood High School
