Lest We Forget

Dear HWW Students, Families, and Community Members,

This week as we honour Indigenous Veteran’s Day and Remembrance Day, we are so grateful to all of our Veterans and the freedoms for which they fought. We were very proud of our students in how they led and observed today’s Remembrance Day virtual Ceremony.

Friday is a non-instructional day; staff will be gathered around our assessment practices and collaboratively moving forward in our School Development Plan focus on literacy, mathematics and wellbeing for learning.

Big congratulations to all of our Fall sports teams as they wrap up their seasons. We have been so pleased to cheer you on! Our Winter sports tryouts will be soon underway, stay tuned for details.

Our next School Council virtual meeting is Monday, November 15 at 6:30 pm. Please consider joining us.

We will be honouring Metis Week November 15-19 and will share more information about that in our next update.

With appreciation, and in Remembrance,

Aileen Smyth
